Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We provide as many as three different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the safest and the most reliable OSs available on the market and we provide all three instead of just one because we realize that you might want to set up some software with specific requirements for the Operating System it'll run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a large support community behind it and there're various software applications you may install on the web hosting server. Your OS selection will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be installed on the VPS if you wish to use one and for this reason we offer multiple Control Panels too. If you ever decide that you need a different OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the existing one and install the one that you need. We also offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server solutions - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are 100 % free and they won't increase the low price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are very stable and secure. Each of them is supported by a huge community of developers, so you will be able to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you can install on your server if the app that you intend to use has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer run on particular OSs only and because we want to provide you with as much flexibility as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you choose a server with a given Operating System, we can change it upon request if it turns out that you need another one. We will also keep the OS updated weekly as part of our optional Managed Services upgrade.
